Here's the cape I made for my granddaughter from Tracy Ulmann's book, Knit 2 Together. I used Elann superwash in French Blue...the yarn was all the same dyelot but once it was finished, I noticed striping. Oh, well. Although the photo is a bit out of focus, the kid looks cute in the cape!
And here's another view:
And then there are the socks....
These were made from Mountain Colors Sock Yarn; they're very cozy and comfy.
Again, the photo is a bit out of focus (AARGH!) These are Trekking XXL, one of my favorite sock yarns. The colorway here, with its blues and greens, reminds me of the ocean.
Finally, these were for my hubby. I bought the yarn a couple of years ago and decided to make him a pair recently. The yarn label became a bookmark and I can't locate it now; when I do, I'll update here, but I think it was an Austermann yarn.
Currently on the needles: more socks, of course; a swiffer cover from Birdy's Knits; a dishcloth; and a bunch of UFOs. Since my daughter is expecting another baby (also a girl!) this summer, the UFOs will wait; there's another baby blanket I have to buy yarn for. (Twisted Yarns, my LYS, is dangerous; I'll walk out of there with far more than the yarn for the blanket. Fun!) And my daughter really needs the stole that's half finished...her husband's sister is getting married in September and it will be perfect. Hmmm....guess I really need to get knitting!
